Doctor’s schedule

Cataract surgery

The only way to cure cataract is surgery.

We use phacoemulsification and aspiration procedure. The operation wound is extremely small (2-3mm). We do this surgery with anesthetic eye drop. The operation time will be within 15 minutes and doesn't need hospitalization.
※With the cost about 39,900 ~ 42,000 yen(If you join the health insurance program)

You can see clearly after surgery and return to your daily life smoothly. If you have no diseases except for the lens, this surgery can improve your visual acuity.

Please feel free to contact us to get an appointment.

Flow of cataract surgery

We mainly provide Phacoemulsification.
This measure preserves capsular bag and removes only the contents of the crystalline lens.

Microscope
  • An anesthetic eyedrop will be used to keep you from feeling pain.

  • The doctor will make a 2-3mm long incision in the sclerocornea or cornea.

  • Then make a circular cut in the anterior lens capsule.

  • Ultrasound probe will be used to break up the lens into tiny pieces, and the pieces will be suctioned out.

  • An artificial lens will be implanted.

    ■Types of intraocular lenses

(1)Monofocal lens / Astigmatism correction lens (Insurance coverage)

    (2)Multifocal lens

After the surgery, your eyes will loose the ability to focus by itself. You will need a glasses for short distance if you choose an intraocular lens with long distance, or glasses for long distance if you choose the lens with short distance.
Multifocal lens do not always make your vision as clear as you were young, so there is a possibility that you need a glassses. Discuss with the doctor to determine what’s best for you.
