Epidemic Kerato Conjunctivitis

Epidemic Kerato Conjunctivitis can be caused by adenovirus.

There are some main symptoms below:

Redness/Eye mucus (discharge)/Swollen eyelid/Watery eye/Small bumps on the back of the eyelid (Irritation)
These tend to be seen on one eye only at first, and several days later another may have the same condition.

How to check

Epidemic Kerato Conjunctivitis

We use inspection kit to check whether virus causes it or not.
Depending on the stage of latent period/symptoms, the result may be negative even if it is positive.

How to care

There is no effective eye drops on this disease, however to protect from other epidemic diseases antibacterial/steroid eye drops could be prescribed.
To prevent the infection, it is better to do things separately (e.g.: shower/laundry), and not to share any tools with the other people around you.

Note:

When you start using eye drops, some of the symptoms will be gone soon. However, if you stop treating at this moment, it may cause some vision problems. Therefore please continue doing so until the doctor announces the end of the treatment.

Reservation by phone is also possible.
